It's not the cert. It's not the money. It's not even you.
Hey Healthcare Girlie Reader,
There are three lies MAs tell themselves about why they haven't started building their own thing.
I told myself all three. For years.
Let me name them. Then let me tell you the truth.
Lie #1: "I don't have the certifications."
The truth: You probably already have most of what you need.
Most MA programs include phlebotomy training. If you're a CCMA, NCMA, or RMA, you've already passed national board exams.
For most of the lab business lanes I told you about, your existing credentials are enough. You might add a quick certification on top a DOT course is 3 hours and under $100 but you don't need to go back to school.
You already have the foundation. You just didn't know it counted.
Lie #2: "I don't have the money to start."
he truth: You can start for under $1,500.
- LLC filing: $50–$500 depending on your state
- EIN: free (apply at irs.gov yourself)
- Basic phlebotomy supplies: $200–$400 *If you follow my play you can either get it for free or won't have to pay for another 30 days*
- Business assets e.g marketing materials and a simple website $50–$200
- Domain and business email: under $5-30/year Business email varies $10+/monthly

Plus and most MAs don't know this companies like Medline, McKesson, Uline, and Crown Office Supplies will set you up with Net 30 accounts. That means you order supplies now and pay 30 days later. It changes everything about cash flow when you're starting.
You don't need to be rich. You need to be resourceful. This is where you allow your 9 to 5 to pay for your dreams.
Lie #3: "I'm not a business person."
The truth: Neither was I.
I was an MA who had been doing the WORK of a business for years taking care of patients, managing chaos, executing under pressure, working with vendors, holding it down when everyone else was falling apart.
I just hadn't put that name on it yet.
You're not missing some magical "business brain," Sis.
You're missing the structure to wrap around what you ALREADY know how to do.
Thursday I'm going to put that structure in your hands.
Talk soon,
~The MA Expert
P.S.Which of these three lies has been YOUR lie? Hit reply and tell me. Sometimes naming the thing is the first step in putting it down.
